I've got a Digital Camera NOW WHAT?
(Class 101)
This is an entry level class designed for people who have a digital camera or who are thinking about purchasing one. The class is limited to 10 students and pre-registration and advance payment is required. Many of the topics to be discussed are listed below. We do recommend that you bring your camera if you have one, but it is not required. As you think of any questions, please write them down and bring them to class. We find many students forget those important questions when they get to class. The evening class is held after regular store hours, so the doors will be open from 6:30 to 7:00pm and then locked. Please don’t be late to the evening class.

The class is held in Swanlund’s upstairs gallery and is 2 hours long. The class is not offered every month, so please check our website or call us to find out current available dates and times. There is a 5 to 10 minute break an hour into the class. Questions are always welcomed during class. At the end of class, there will be a question and answer period as well. The instructor will stay for about an hour after class to give personal attention to students who might have questions about their specific camera.
Sessions: One 2.0 hour with the Instructor staying up to 1 additional hour.

Looking for more instruction that goes beyond the beginner? This next level in digital photography will teach you techniques for shooting sports\action, nature, people and more. More in depth discussion on camera operation and mode functions. This class is intended for digital point & shoots users that have shutter/aperture controls on their camera (PASM Modes) or any DSLR.
Sessions: Two 2.5 hour classes
Cost: $59.99
Recommended For: Students that have taken the “I’ve Got a Digital Camera, Now What?” class or have equal knowledge and have a digital point & shoot camera with shutter or aperture controls or any DSLR

Beginning DSLR (Class 201)
Digital SLRs offer you unmatched options for taking pictures. This class will teach you some of those options to help you get the results you want. It will familiarize you with setting up your camera, exposure modes, basic functions, scene modes and basic shooting. We will go over the basic menu modes and what they mean. This class will help you choose accessories that will help in your photography.
Session: One 3.0 hour class +

Recommended for: Beginning students with a DSLR Camera.

Intermediate DSLR (Class 202)
This class moves you beyond the basics to a more in depth discussions of camera operations and setup. While learning how to get the most out of your camera metering and exposure modes, you will also learn how to understand histograms, and custom white balance and maximizing the quality of your images with RAW files and converting RAW files. Students should have attended the beginning DSLR class or have equivalent knowledge.
Sessions: Two 2.5 hour classes
Cost: $59.99
Recommended for: students who have taken the Beginning DSLR class from Swanlund’s or have equivalent knowledge.

Prepayment for class is required to reserve your spot. Drop-ins are welcome if space is available.
Sorry, registration is not available on-line, since classes can fill up quickly.
Cancellation Policy
If you need to cancel your class, please contact Swanlund’s Camera immediately.
Cancellations two weeks prior to first class will receive a full refund. Cancellations less than two weeks prior receive full store credit for Swanlund's Camera and cancellations less than 72 hours prior receive 50% store credit. Refunds for classes missed are not available.
If the minimum number of students has not been reached, Swanlund’s reserves the right to cancel the class at anytime.
